Restaurants in Praia da Luz and area during the winter months

When you have a happy snap like this one of Gabrielle about to munch on her cheese omelette, you can see that this was not high cuisine ... but boy, was it good! Food while you're away is an essential element in the sum of your happiness and finding the best restaurants is a first step. Why is the weather in Portugal so good in Winter?

It's a well-known fact that the Algarve weather is some of the best in Europe during Winter months, but why is that? Days five and six

New Year’s Day showed us a contrast in weather - cold and cloudy. Not unlike ourselves who were definitely hung over after the night’s excesses. Still we managed to get up in time for breakfast around 10am, but everything was very slow. We partook of a classic “morning after” breakfast with fried stuff and toast and then had a walk along the front to a pizza restaurant a little later, following a very slow morning - carbs were still needed.

Day four - Nick's birthday

We woke to brilliant sunshine and pressies for my birthday and then breakfast on the terrace - with a glass of champagne, of course and a Portuguese tart too! It was the start of a wonderful day. We took a walk to Cascais and did a little light shopping. Then took in a beer beside the sea, before heading home to coffee and reading in the sunshine.
